Capsule 01 began long before the first pattern was drawn.
It started as a feeling — a quiet thread that followed Natasha from a Butoh workshop years earlier, where she first encountered the concept of ma: the idea that space, silence, and pause hold as much meaning as the movements around them.
Over time, that idea found its way into something tangible.
Not loudly. Not quickly.
But deliberately.
Why Capsule 01 Exists
We didn’t want to create many things.
We wanted to create one thing:
with intention

with precision
with integrity
with purpose
In a world of constant releases, rapid cycles, and disposable trends, Capsule 01 is our refusal to rush. It’s a study in restraint, longevity, and thoughtful decision-making.
We asked ourselves: What would it mean to make a piece that stays? A piece that becomes part of someone’s life, not just their wardrobe?
The answer became our first shirt — the starting point of Ma. Studio.

And because we believe scarcity can restore meaning.
In owning fewer things but loving them more.
